This report brings together in a single volume everything the European Union's official sources currently say about Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 — the European regulation on deforestation-free products, known as the EUDR (EU Deforestation Regulation).
It was written to serve as a reference work: deliberately long, organised for consultation, and designed to be condensed afterwards into training material, executive summaries, standard operating procedures and communications with suppliers and customers.
Its practical focus is the Brazilian grain and oilseed chain — soy and its derivatives above all — with an eye on originating, storage, crushing and exporting companies. Even so, every legal chapter applies to all seven commodities covered.
How this report was built
The content was drawn from a full reading of the official documents listed in Annex F, supplemented by consultation of official pages and news sources for events later than those documents.
